Q1. What is the ratio of staff to children?

In before and after school the ratio is 1 staff to 8 children which is the legal requirement. In the middle of the day the ratio is no more than 1 staff to 5 children. In playscheme and inset days the ratio is 1 staff to 6 children

Q2. What was the turnover of staff in the last year?

 The Core team which have bio’s on the staff page has the following turn over Full time staff  0 Part time staff  0 Before and After school has a higher turnover due to the fact that many of our staff are studying at local colleges and leave for other jobs or to go on to University. These staff are in addition to the core team.

Q3. What qualification do the staff hold?

The Owner and Executive Manager, Senior Manager and Level 4 Manager all hold degrees, the Executive Manager also holds  Early Years Professional Status. The Managers and Deputy Managers  hold a level 3 qualification in Childcare as a minimum. The Nursery Nurses hold a level 2 qualification or above. The Playworkers as a minimum must be trained in Safeguarding. Q4. What happens on inset days?

Inset days are not charged for in the monthly bills. If you require care on an inset day for your child please complete a booking form and email kingsleychildcare@outlook.com with your requirements(start and finish times, meals required) We cover all local schools inset days.  Inset days are run like playscheme days for those children.

Q5. What happens if your school is shut e.g. snow days?

If your child is not going to be in please do not let us know as we need to keep the phone line open for people who require care. If you do require care then please ring 01564 774144  to inform them of your requirements

Q6. What happens if your school shuts during the day?

If the school shuts during the day we will collect all children who are due on that night. If you require us to collect your child and they are not due to be with us please ring the setting to check availability and for more details.

Q7. What happens if my child is on an early leaving  school trip?

Please speak to the staff to arrange an early drop off  please inform them of the time your child must be at school.

Q8. What happens if my child is on a late arrival from a school trip?

Please inform the staff by writing a note in the message book or send an email detailing the time and place of arrival as much advance notice of this is appreciated so that we can ensure that we can allocate staff to collect your child.

Q9. What do I do if my child is off or going out to tea with a friend?

Please inform the staff by writing a note in the message book or send an email, if you are unable to do this please ring the setting.

Q10. What do I do if I want my child to attend an after school club?

Please inform the staff by writing a note in the message book or send an email, if you are unable to do this please ring the setting, please give as much detail as possible, start and finish times and the dates of the club each term.

Q11 What is the clubs policy on discipline?
